'Deckhand Dom' met 'Chef Lizzie' while they were working on private yachts.

After  two seasons of working the waters of New England and the Caribbean they decided to become land based and moved to Maine where Liz's family spend their summers.

In November 2006 they purchased
The General Store, it had been dormant for 15 months.  After extensive renovations the store was reopened to the delight of the local populous.

Liz and Dom are thrilled to be a part of a much loved East Boothbay tradition and owners of a historic landmark.

Every country store needs a dog and so we have ours.  'Buoy' a.k.a The Boo Man.
He is still rambunctious and one day we hope he will chill out and hang out on the porch during the Summer months greeting the customers with a soppy kiss.

A Labradour who is always up for a walk!

Of course life would not be complete without Sabine.  Turning 1 yr old this Spring she is becoming a very independent little lady who we hope will be on dish washing duty one day soon.
Between Sabine, Buoy and the store we keep pretty busy.

The General Store is fortunate to be staffed by remarkable people,  prominent among them is Crystal.

Crystal was the first employee hired by Dom and Liz back in 2006. She remains the longest serving employee.
She has witnessed many improvements at the General Store.

Luckily Crystal shared our vision and during the course of many long cold hours back in December 2006 she helped to strip back old paint, polish equipment, build shelving and revitalize the store into what you see today.

Since opening in January 2007 it is Crystal's face that greets most customers.
With her years of experience and local knowledge she has become the go to person, and has all or most of the answers to the many questions relating to the 'front of house'.
